I've been sick the last several days. Nothing serious...sinus infection, cold, headache...stuff like that. It was enough to slow me down though. Before being sick, life was happening and I was BUSY...work, house work, family, fun, self imposed obligations...busy. Being under the weather slowed me down. I've been reading, crocheting, watching tv, relaxing and taking care of myself.
I really needed that. It has given me time to look around and really SEE the world around me. Tonight as I was closing the living room curtains, I noticed how beautiful it was outside. It snowed several days ago and it's been gorgeous, but I haven't taken the time to look and appreciate it. After slowing down, I was able to SEE - really SEE the beauty around me. When it's cold, the snow sparkles like diamonds. It's just breathtaking!
I'm actually grateful for not feeling well. It allowed me the opportunity to take the time to appreciate life. It helped me to remember that there is beauty everywhere, always.
My wish for you is that you see and appreciate the beauty that's all around you all the time. Do it now. Don't wait until you're sick.
Love, Paula
PS. If you click on the pictures to make them larger, you can actually see what I'm talking about that the snow sparkles like diamonds. This was right outside my front door. Magical!
